Steve Ford is a private detective in Venice Beach, Calif., who's good with the ladies, bad with the punches and wild about his dog Buddy. When local thugs steal Buddy, Ford turns to Spyder, their devious leader, and forges an unlikely alliance. With help from his best friend, Steve pulls out the big guns to retrieve Spyder's stolen cash and cocaine and save Buddy.

This movie was just okay. The story was alright but wasn't really able to get into that much. This s a Sunday afternoon type movie.

Lacked much. A bit all over the place. It was like they had to add tastless bits in to the film to make up for it lacking in substance. Could have potentially been a good movie with a little more thought. I would have liked to have given it 2.5 out of 5 for the good parts at least, but then that would have been insulting to the other movies I did rate 2.5. Cute dog though.

After many failed attempts, I hoped this film would be Bruce Willis's comeback but boy was I wrong. If anything it ended his career. Once Upon A Time In Venice is blatantly unfunny and lacks every possible ingredient to a decent action comedy. I don't think I ever had to endure a more cringeworthy script with such bad acting. This movie is definitely not worth watching.
