Once in the Life (2000)

Two estranged half-brothers, Billy and Torch, reconnect during a brief jail stay. 20/20 Mike concocts a scheme in which the two of them will steal dope from some young couriers. The heist goes wrong when Billy shoots the couriers dead. They hole up in an abandoned building, and 20/20 Mike seeks help from an old cell mate, Tony.

May lack any transcendent point that would make it exceptional, but it is certainly a worthy start, and worth catching.

Enough expertise has been lavished on this small film to make one almost forget that Once in the Life has been done more than once before.

Although my expectations weren't high for this movie coming in, I was still a little disappointed with it. I thought it was at least going to have more action in it but it didn't deliver on that. Just a lot of repetitive talking. Not worth watching.
