Aside from the year it was made, there's nothing that Dreamland adds to a very, very full genre

Merle Bertrand 25 Jul 2011

The greatest accomplishment of Occupation: Dreamland is showing those of us on the home front that it really is possible, Republican howling to the contrary aside, to support our troops without supporting the war itself.

Jessica Winter 12 Oct 2005

Without resorting to the steroid-pumped aggro flash of Gunner Palace, Occupation: Dreamland reinforces the impression that the American rodeo in Iraq was always a murderously pointless self-security op.

Scott Tobias 30 Aug 2012

A powerful documentary about a squad of Army grunts patrolling the Iraqi city of Fallujah in late 2004.

Fred Camper 20 Aug 2006

Filmmakers Garrett Scott and Ian Olds offer a damning chronicle of failure and chaos.
