A sprawling and ambitious sci-fi invasion film.

Clearly hoping to capture an old-school feel, the movie is just too long and too cliched, bordering on ridiculous towards its end. Even the soundtrack, which swells to epic heights as often as possible, feels cheesy rather than stirring.

The first 14 mins of the film are a little dull, but from there the story builds, a group of survivors from an Alien invasion fight back. Very enjoyable with an outstanding cast.

A bad movie with mediocre action, ridiculously cliché aliens, bad to mediocre acting and an insultingly ham-fisted 'message'. 2 points for the acceptable camera work and color grading. Not worth a watch.
