Was lucky enough to see a pre-release test screening of this flick, and really liked it. Enough so that I grabbed tickets to see it on the opening night of the Sydney Film Festival. A fun grunge-rom-com, entertaining performances all round, and having been a teenager during the 80's, I loved the old school theme of "if you have a best friend of the opposite sex, you should probably consider dating them."

Kwanten has been making waves in Aussie independents for awhile more power to him. A great smart and positive movie. Held together beautifully by a great cast..

What lifts this Australian romantic-comedy above the level of most of its Hollywood counterparts is the reality of the characters and the situations and the honesty of the film's approach.

Not Suitable For Children is a refreshingly solid and raw Australian 'dramedy' that delivers poignant characters and relieving laughs while highlighting our fragile and absurdly fleeting existence.
