Nightmare Man (2006)

Ellen receives an exotic mask by mistake and begins to have waking nightmares and hallucinations. Her husband and doctors believe she is a paranoid schizophrenic and take her to a psychiatric ward. On the way to the hospital the car breaks down, her husband rushes off to get gas, and the Nightmare Man appears. Ellen escapes and stumbles upon a country house where two young couples are spending the weekend. They do not know if the killer is real or just a figment of Ellen's tortured mind nor if the killer is outside or already inside the house.

The makeup was good when Nightmare Man was going to rape the chick in the attic.

This reminded me of a b rated 80s movie. I really think with a bit more work on the script, and better acting it could have have been better.

Interesting low-budget slasher horror film about a woman (who may or may not be mentally ill) being chased though the woods by a crazed demon. Eventually, she stumbles upon a cabin of horny couples who think she is crazy until they start getting offed. Tried and true formula that offers some unique twists, albeit at a very low-budget level. Director Rolfe Kanefsky does a good job of making the viewer forget that by showing the two lead woman naked all of the time. Tiffany Shepis was hot as usual, and naked, which is always a plus. The movie was kind of in the middle for me, which is rare as Kanefsky's films have always been divided pretty equally between the good (There's Nothing Out There, The Hazing) and the awful (Corpses, Jacqueline Hyde). Anyways, decent movie, but so far, these After Dark Films have been an overall disappointment.

OK, is was a totally stupid movie.. Horrible acting but hey, it's one of the 8 films to die for?!?! How the hell do they pick these? I have yet to see a good one. It is kinda funny where evil hangs out though!
