We already know the monster Dahmer will become, but Meyers also focuses on the better person he might have been, and the toxic formative experiences that prevent this & mould his tragic trajectory, pushing him into living up to his own cult image.

[Marc Meyers'] choice to cast Disney star Ross Lynch as Dahmer is inspired and Lynch really conveys isolation and creepiness.

It was he most amazing movie of 2017, it waas truly an unforgettable performance. Ross Lynchburg is not only my idol but he's the most talented person, he can act, sing , and still have time for family, friends, and fans including myself. Amazing work and I love Marc Meyers for creating this amazing masterpiece u truly are one of the best creators out there. I really appreciate all of you that worked on and in this movie. I recommend everyone to watch it especially if you're interested in spooky, interesting life story's of serial killers. As a fan of Ross Lynch's work all of it! I'm so proud and glad that he got this part because he was just right for it. Everyone should watch this movie no matter what kind of genre of movies you are interested in because this has many different types of genres such as drama, thriller, comedy, and horror. I loved it all in all and I wouldn't mind watching this over and over again. I'm so proud of this amazing work of art and I hope this wins every big award out there today.

Slow moving, so it's certainly not for everyone, but as a true crime enthusiast and big fan of the graphic novel on which it's based, my friend dahmer is a sensitively mounted look at a disturbed youth, anchored by strong performances and a naturalistic approach to the filmmaking. Ross lynch and anne heche are particularly strong here; lynch's performance is particularly evocative when staring hungrily at men he is attracted to, when he attempts to be 'normal' around the girl he asks to prom, and when he is staggeringly drunk at school in the mornings. i would really like to see his murderous period covered in this same style - a movie that would surely be much more of a crowd pleaser - but my friend dahmer definitely succeeds at what it is trying to be.

Wow, what an incredible film. This film is where all other Dahmer films take off. This was all about the build up of Jeffrey and boy was it capturing to see it happen. I felt sad for poor Jeff, even though he turns into a monster. This film managed to make him sympathize with him. I felt bad because of his parents always fighting, and that he made a fool out of myself just to get friends. Man. Ross's acting was absolutely on point. The way he captured his posture and speech and all his mannerisms. Amazing. The filming was beautiful, Just an incredible film. I loved every second of it. Well done.
