Something to really fall in love with! I would describe this as perfect cinema: it captures a single moment (in this case, a dinner conversation) with truth and emotion. There's just a flow -- a tangible feel of visual present tense, if you will. The cinematography is a masterclass in economic shot construction and the "performances" are completely transparent. The subject matter also never fails to interest, but the true beauty is in the medium: the portrayal of human interaction with all its unexpected turns, rambling monologues and uncomfortable silences.

I've seen this film three times. Twice in 2005 and once more a day and a half ago. And I predict I'll see this many more times in the future. It's an excellent filmmaking experiment that amounts to one of the deepest and philosophical movies ever made.

The Genius of this movie is that it does not need action to retain your intrigue or pique your imagination. A masterpiece of both theology and...well...life.

A mind challenge. Briliant reflexion on theatre, art and life through a moving piece of cinema. I've got nothing against pure entertainment but when a movie is able to make you think instead of just drugging you is so much rewarding...

One thing I like about this film is how sleepy it makes you feel, it is engaging with its myriad details like a David Crystal book and yet, it is so delightful, you can sleep knowing fully well you learnt something.
