Wonderful movie. And if you like violin music this movie is unbeatable. Meryl Streep and those children give a convincing performance. The story is fascinating and moving. I had tears in my eyes quite often during this movie. Love it! It felt like twenty minutes, not a second of boredom in other words. See it! You'll love it too!

Okay, this story became a little too standard, but virtues for this one are that it is based on a true story and the calibre of the people involved is just astounding from the actors and especially the guest performers. I loved it!!

[i]Music of the Heart [/i]is awe-inspiring film that contains outstanding performances from every actor and actress in this film. Meryl Streep was made for the part of Roberta Guaspari, a woman who's convinced she can teach ghetto children to play the violin, one of the most difficult of instruments to learn. Against all odds, she perseveres to convince the parents of valuable lessons that can be learned through music. If you liked [i]Mr. Holland's Opus, [/i]chances are that you'll love [i]Music of the Heart. [/i]Meryl Streep makes this film work although she gets acting help from Aidan Quinn, Angela Bassett, and Cloris Leachman. Even though it's a little overly dramatic at times, it still touches you with its message and its spirit.

A must see. The music was great. There was humor and sadness. As a teacher I was absolutely blown away.
