Even if you can accept that there's nothing inherently wrong with being a little misanthropic in the right context, you'll probably find that Murder of a Cat's mean streak isn't wide enough.

There aren't enough laughs to maintain the weak plot, and it is a pity, since Murder of a Cat is really unlike anything we've seen before.

I've never seen a movie like this before and though it could've been funnier it still made me laugh nuff. Its pretty entertaining the whole way thru and definitely engaging if not only to find out how it ends.

Described as a satire on Hollywood detective flicks, this bucket of swill is so amateurish and confused it doesn’t know what it is. It’s not a comedy, drama or anything in-between.
