An entertaining little jungle adventure with everyone's favourite Japanese super sleuth. The new setting and character types make for a nice change of pace and J. Edward Bromberg is entertaining as ever alongside Peter Lorre.

"How do you work this thing?" "Just pull the trigger!" Ratt-A-Tatt-Tatt!!!! Despite another great turn from Peter Lorre as the brilliant, but nonplussed genius detective, Mr. Moto Takes A Chance is only a so-so entry in the series. Robert Kent and Chick Chandler as the American newsreel team get far too much screen time and Rochelle Hudson's mysterious pilot is nowhere near as interesting as the movie wants you to believe. Still, Lorre's Moto is always a treat and this film does offer one of his better master disguises. VF.

Not the best in the Mr. Moto series because it is rather too slap-happy and has a confusing plot line.
