Amazing film, it had me and my boyfriend talk about it for days afterwards, there's so many themes and it makes you question everything. There is no point in trying to figure out the true meaning of the film, you just have to go along with it. Most of the bad reviews are from people Expecting to see a simple horror movie and that's not what it is,. If you HAVE seen any of the directors other movies (black swan or the Wrestler for example) you would understand that nothing this director does is typical, and that's the beauty of his movies. The shots are also beautiful too, to be honest everything about this movie is great, just don't try to understand it all or else you'll hate it. Keep the Mystery. it's better that way :)

At first glance this movie seems very interesting to say the least. Problem is most of the people watch the movie and pre-judge it. Sure it climaxes at a huge rate in 30 mins but it's the story of us, mother nature, and God. It's basically the Bible. From the taking off a rib from Adam to make Eve to the world ending in flames. I'm the end it has a little homage to Hinduism believing that everything is a cycle. I really did love the movie. It was a bit haunting at times too. Like most of everything else it has a deeper meaning to it than meets the eye.

The movie was perfect if you understand what it says. Everything was happening in a Haneke-like nonsense, so it was challenging the audience's mind. It was full of metaphors, some you could see during the movie, some you think of later. The usage of the lighting, set and everything was so good. At first, acting of Lawrence seems a little too much but then it just fits and you have a ride where you just want to scream because the movie gets you all the way!

Everything you've heard about mother! is true. In a world where every non-comedic blockbuster shoves enjoyable violence down our throats, Aronofsky dares to portray repulsive violence through the eyes of a women wishing just to be left alone.

I saw it last night and really liked that movie. It is not like anything you´ve seen before. A story about a couple and their house as well as about the universe, earth, mankind. It´s former title "Day 6" is telling a bit more what it is all about, I think. The idea is truly unique and hopefully this movie will make people talk and think and talk again... and then maybe think a bit more of what they can do for our future on earth. And while doing that they can enjoy absolutely magnificent performances by all actors, but mostly by Jennifer Lawrence and Michelle Pfeiffer. Both of them were absolutely Oscar-worthy looking at what I´ve seen this year so far.
