very surreal lighting that gives it a soft absent quaility, almost makes a man out of hitler who was a monster, it is seen through the eyes of eva braun and is a good film in depicting hilters last days in bavaria before his suicide, i would recommend this film to be sure its not perfect but its direction is very good and it is relevant historically as well.

Alternating grandeur and stagnation, "Moloch" is not Sokurov's best film, but probably rates better than "Taurus", the director's thematic sequel depicting the last days of Lenin.

Excellent performances from the cast, particularly from the two leads. In response to the post below, its not the last days of Hitler, its set in 1942 - a few years before his death, whilst on a holiday.

Clumsy, strident, stultifying. Why are so many films about dictators so over-the-top? A little subtlety would convery their evil so much better.
