The documentary Mission Blue shows the life's work of Sylvia Earle, who served as chief scientist at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. She spent her life exploring the unseen parts of the sea that no one dared to see. Sylvia wanted to preserve life especially the ocean because we need the ocean to help survive. Earle first started learning about the ocean when she was 12 when she moved to the Gulf of Mexico. She held the solo deep-submersible dive record of 3,300 feet until James Cameron. This movie was really good in general and I would watch it again!

This documentary provided insightful information regarding the state of our ocean. It served as a wakeup call to the drastic changes that have already occurred in our oceans and the importance of these changes. Mission Blue did a great job of effectively conveying the importance humans have on the ocean while also highlighting the importance the ocean has on us. To see someone like Slyvia Earle dedicate her whole life to ensuring that changes occur before it is too late was truly inspiring. Overall, this documentary did an amazing job at stated shocking facts while still providing hope for our future.

This movie about Sylvia Earle is absolutely great! it has sown me the true colors of how the ocean works and how we have to protect it. The ocean is our main source of life and we must keep it clean. If th ocean is not clean, we will kill off most of the life, therefore killing ourselves. The movie has helped me understand the ocean life and i will now be more careful when I go to the beach.

This was a very interesting and inspiring documentary. You really get to feel and understand the passion Sylvia Earle has for the ocean. She is a very inspiring woman that broke a barrier and has inspired other women to be explorers and scientists for the ocean. The film really captures the issues that are currently destroying the ocean and marine life. Her passion is helping many become aware that we need to protect the ocean before it is too late. I have definitely been touched by this film and I'm going to do my best to help preserve and protect the ocean.

Mission Blue is a phenomenal documentary in which Dr. Sylvia Earle showcases all the negative things we are doing to harm the ocean. After thousands of hours of diving, she wants to bring awareness to all of us about the harmful conditions of the ocean. She is a compelling woman and wants to educate us on how to change our attitude towards the ocean. This documentary is very well done and is beautifully shot. People think the ocean is fine from what they see in the surface, but further down many things are severely damaged. I highly recommend that you watch this documentary, it will change your perspective on how you view the ocean. This documentary is a wake up call to everyone to act and save the ocean--before it's too late. If there is no ocean, there is no us.
