Viewed from Álex de la Iglesia's unique perspective, Messi recreates the player's childhood and teenage years, from his very first steps, with a football always at his feet, through to the decision to leave Rosario for Barcelona, the separation from his family, and the role played in his career by individuals such as Ronaldinho, Rijkaard, Rexach and Guardiola.

Es un filme sencillo, lleno de carisma y nostalgia. Puede que te identifiques con su hostoria (yo en partes la verdad). Siempre Messi desde chiquito se noto que queria ser lo que es hoy, un ser que inspira, que lucha por lo que quiere, que contagia a los que le siguen (y a los que no). Es un guerrero de nacimiento. Y saber que gracias a su abuela es que esta donde esta por ser su apoyo moral/mayor (incluyendo a sus padres) es de valorar, querer y admirar. Yo recomiendo este filme a todos sus fans, a los no tan fans y a los que les gusta el cine documental. Is really worth the watch to this film. Is simple and clean but with a noble heart. He has such a nice story (heartbreaking in part) but worth to tell to the world. Messi, you are an inspiration no doubt. - July 9, 2015 review. PS: I played football since I was a kid (I don't often tell this). I still watch football but don't play it (since I dedicate my life to acting now).

Que lástima que Álex se hubiera quedado con lo más superficial de la historia, que lástima que no haya una sola palabra de Messi hoy en día o de su familia, que pesar que se sienta tan desligado todo, que pesar por Álex. Algo queda de la historia del rosarino pero viniendo de Álex se esperaba mucho más, esto parece un ejercicio de un periodista novato.
