that s what an ideal film is: images without a word (voice, or even intertitle), but only visual language. EXCITING!

Extremely beautiful short film with a beautiful protagonist and a beautifully beautiful avant-garde approach to an admittedly melodramatic story. Movies haven't really come very far since the 1920s. In fact, they're worse. Much MUCH worse.

It's nearly impossible to find today, but it signals the beginning of modern filmmaking.
