This movie was funny. I love John Cusack, he has the best "unspoken" lines. Exactly what I've always pictured Hitler as, whiney and too naive to listen.

Perceptive in its vision of nascent industrialized world politics as a new art form, but far too clunky, didactic and saddled with scenes that seem simply an ill fit for this movie.

John Cusack in his best role to date. He plays an art gallery owner who served in WW1 and lost his arm in the process. One day a young Adolf Hitler comes into his life and Max tries to get him to be an artist since Adolf has a great ability to paint realistic portaits and when he goes really deep into himself and his art he's amazing (all true)... sadly the night adolf was to meet max to talk about his art and make a career... well... i dont' want to ruin it... but i makes you cry.

Here is an interesting movie. Not a true account. This movie was created by what people in the film industry sometimes call, "Imagination". Noah Taylor played a fantastic depiction of Hitler.

A fantastic portrait of Adolf and Max Rothman as artists. Interesting insight into Adolf's struggle as an artist and how he was influenced towards his political agenda. Interesting study on ethics!!! Went into this movie not knowing anything about it and came out completely impressed.
