A wonderful look at a very charming lady who was at the forefront of the civil rights movement throughout the 60s with her family. It is inspiring to see her still performing to this day and remaining an influence on those that have come after her.

Directed by newcomer Jessica Edwards, this tribute documentary follows a standard biographical formula. Still, the film would be worth seeing and hearing just for the footage of Staples in concert.
