Bloody, Gory, and dark, this martial arts film noir detective horror hybrid is suspenseful and gritty, featuring no-holds barred killing and fighting scenes.

Some really nice choreography in the fight scenes and likable characters. But simple writing and plot, doesn't really bring anything new to the table. But yet I was entertained and I think that is what the movie was souly made to do.

Saw this one last week and loved it. A super serious and brutal Venom Mob film from Chang Cheh featuring a deadly group of masked trident-wielding assassins and a clan of heroes who try to stop them. It has never been more apparent that the members of the Venom Mob were the real deal in terms of being able to perform all their own acrobatic combat than during the film's excellent finale, which has some of the fasted weapon-based action I've ever seen.

Â If you've ever watched a Shaw Brothers kung-fu film and found yourself thinking: "This flick is good and all, but what it REALLY needs is a bunch of blood-drinking, Satan-worshiping, mask-wearing villains and a whole lot more violence," then Masked Avengers is the movie for you. This is a dark, dark movie, and those who require comedic antics with their kung-fu need not apply.
