Modern martial arts film, with great music, acting, and direction. I was blown away by the skills of Tiger Chen Hu, his acting talent along with his deeper knowledge of Tai Chi led me to enjoy his performance. Innocence corrupted and then transformed into strength of good. Love love love Keanu Reeves as both director and actor, very dark character that played devil chasing angel.

Good fighting, choreography, acting, dialogue etc. Keanu proves he's a worthy of directing in this film. Beginning is great, middle is also damn good and the third act could've used a bit of work. It's not without the occasional flaw or two but that shouldn't keep you from enjoying it if you're fan of martial arts movies or Keanu Reeves.

Pro forma, sure, but briskly paced. For the most part, the fight scenes are grounded in physical potential, but there are shots and edits that have simple physical magic to them.

Keanu's directorial debut is pretty impressive, and it was nice to see him play a bad guy for a change.
