The problem is that there's too much put in the way for this to be a really revealing documentary. DL is eldrich enough to flavour the whole piece without having to throw in all the other tricks. They just end up being annoying in their assumed "significance". For fans of DL only.

I was really disappointed with this. Pretty as a Picture and dozens of others offer more insight into the art of Lynch and scratches the surface of how he works..this doesn't really. While it features a few interesting scenes that are you classic Davey, it just doesn't hold up, especially to Lynch 2 on the Inland Empire DVD.

Lynch is the most important director in cinema history for me, in addition the director of this movie uses a nick name which caused rumors that the real director is Lynch himself, and lastly as i have seen his last movie Inland Empire and could not understand mush, i was really curious to see this documentary.. The documentary truely reftelcts the style of Lynch, mostly dark, beuatiful editing, Å?ynch showing at each moment, mostly showing the period of directing Inland Empire.. Actually, it is worth to see at least for watching his pasion on meditaion and photography, his believe in creativity rises with happiness.. in addition his mind full of ideas, his melodramatic character, his works on the movie materials, and relation with the cast.. Especially for the Lynch fans, it is a must to see documentary..

An amiable behind-the-scenes documentary. David Lynch is always a fascinating subject - and the loose, artsy filmmaking is interesting at first, but gets tiresome after a while. A must for Lynch fans, but it is unfocused and disjointed - there have been better documentaries made about David Lynch.

A bizarre & unusual documentary that doesn't have any other goal but just too simply show David Lynch in all his calmness & craziness. It shows many sides of his personality but fails to grip with no structure what so ever and that may appeal to die hard fans of Lynch. The film mainly focuses on him filming Inland Empire his longest & in my opinion more bizarre film. I really appreciate David Lynch as an artist but failed to appreciate this piece on him.
