When the Primm family moves to New York City, their young son Josh struggles to adapt to his new school and new friends. All of that changes when he discovers Lyle — a singing crocodile who loves baths, caviar and great music — living in the attic of his new home. But when Lyle's existence is threatened by evil neighbor Mr. Grumps, the Primms must band together to show the world that family can come from the most unexpected places.

For a film that is sold on the image and idea of a big, singing, dancing crocodile – who is otherwise mute when not belting out his tunes – there seems to be a real disinterest in any notable sight gags or physicality to Lyle as a character.

This movie definitely blew my expectations. I was originally excited when I heard "Top of the World" in the trailer but then other snippets of the movie came out and I lost interest as I thought it would be too child friendly for me... fortunately I forced myself to go see it and it blew all expectations! Super cute, go in with the mindset to enjoy a fun family movie that will pick you up and you will have the best time! Shawn's voice is incredible and a lot of Greatest Showmen feelings in the songs. Highly recommended.
