The narrative has been told before, through endless movies on stardom, whether by luck or through sheer hard work. What stands out is (sorely) Farhan Akhtar as being, or trying to be, the typical Bollywood (he better do something with his voice, which is so reminiscent of his fuddy-daddy) material. Hrithik Roshan should learn to distinguish between ham and emoting. The only delights to watch were perhaps Isha Sharvani, Dimple Kapadia and (very reluctantly) Rishi Kapoor. MacMohan's bit role summarises the whole tragedy of this industry. And the woman who plays Aly Khan's wife. Perhaps these two were the most honest of all performances in the movie.

A good movie. Seemed like a realistic behind-the-scenes look into the Indian film industry and the people associated with it. It wasn't fast-paced OR slow-paced, but a nice, balanced film that kept you interested, but not on the edge of your seat. A good watch. Great acting by Rishi Kapoor, Farhan Akhtar & Konkona Sen. Juhi Chawla was adorable. Dimple was good. Isha Sherwani was alright.

nice film... loved it... da best part abt it is its attention to detail... u'll lyk it if u've been a hindi film buff, with all its eccentricities... farhan and konkona are perfect in their characters... rishi, juhi, dimple, hrithik play their roles well... even srk made an impact in his solitary scene... thnkfully, da ending dint let da film down... it wasnt a happy ending, yet da characters were at peace with their lives... gud debut for zoya akhtar... her attention to detail is reflected in the film opening credits, wich is 1 of da better ones i've seen...
