Tabrez Noorani is unrelenting in his deconstruction of cinema, and by extension, humanity. Bad things happen in dark, closed spaces; good things, rare as they are, happen in daylight.

Tabrez Noorani's film is credible and forceful, with an excellent performance by Mrunal Thakur, but doesn't quite escape the deadening air of educational drama.

Besides missing a punctuation mark in the title, Love Sonia is lacking in several other things. Plausible plot points, for one.

Raw and hard hitting, the movie struck a beautiful chord in multiple ways. It made me sob at the end, yet made me believe in goodness of people. It made me want to do something. It made me want to act. What more could a movie aim to achieve? Move its audience and lead it to action. Loved the tight handheld shots!
