Love and Other Disasters (2006)

Flighty Emily "Jacks" Jackson works for the British edition of Vogue magazine. Rather than pursue a relationship, Jacks regularly hooks up with her devoted ex-boyfriend, James Wildstone, and lives with Peter Simon, a gay screenwriter. When Jacks meets Argentinian photographer's assistant Paolo Sarmiento, she assumes he is gay and tries to bring him and Peter together, unaware that Paolo is straight and in love with her.

In love with this film! What a great romantic comedy. Set in the UK fashion industry. Brittany Murphy is a delight, like always. Her romantic life and her gay best friend's bring forth humor, delight, charm, and whimsy. Very clever subtext about films that I enjoyed. (6-18-09)

ok. so i say that i love alot of movies, but this has got to be my all time favorite right here. its funny, cheesey, and understandable. I love it

Hilarious, a true British comedy in it's right!..another take on the ever elusive thing called Luv..second only to maybe 'Love Actually'.. Though i found it disgusting that Gay was being proselytized as in vogue. Not surprisingly, loved Brittany Murphy's character..esp the eyes:)
