Tommaso is the youngest son of the Cantones, a large, traditional southern Italian family operating a pasta-making business since the 1960s. On a trip home from Rome, where he studies literature and lives with his boyfriend, Tommaso decides to tell his parents the truth about himself. But when he is finally ready to come out in front of the entire family, his older brother Antonio ruins his plans.

Dan Aykroyd's dexterous multipersonality schtick is the only redeeming feature of this chase-heavy comedy.

Hackman & Aykroyd pair up for this early 90's buddy cop romp. This was the era when Aykroyd was really hitting his stride and Dom DeLuise was really fat.

Barrel-scraping genre low point. Even bad by Dan Ackroyd's standards. The cop-buddy movie with improbable partners is absolutely hopeless. Complete with Gene Hackman wondering what the hell he signed up for, Ackroyd doing Roadrunner impressions, Dom DeLuise doing nothing and Nancy Travis managing the worst Israeli accent in the history of film.

This is one of those movies where each part, when taken by itself works, but when put together in a whole just doesn't quite do the trick. Mostly, Dan Aykroyd's 'crazy' performance is just annoying. In a different film, it might have been funny, but it was more jarring than anything. Still, it all makes for one of those weird, uneven 80s films that's part comedy, part grim action film. The crazy plot involving neo-Nazis and pornographers is pretty wacky. Certainly worth seeing once, but it's not making my list of favorites.
