Franz Listz, a huge 19th century celebrity because of his hit version of "Chopsticks," beds a succession of mistresses until the Pope orders him to travel to Germany and exorcise a demon from rival composer Richard Wagner. It's the biography of Franz Liszt if it were directed by Benny Hill working from a script by Federico Fellini; its silly and phallic, and lots of fun if you can surrender yourself to it.

Wow. This movie is Weird. But I LOVE weird movies. And I also happen to love Roger Daltrey. And where the two meet is a fantastic film.

The very fact that not only could someone dream this nonsense up, but that it could also get the money to be made is in itself a staggering achievement. Nearly incomprehensible and totally off the wall, this sex-charged rape of musical history has to be seen to be believed. When you can end a film with Franz Liszt flying an organ-rocket out of heaven to dive bomb a resurrected Richard Wagner/Franken-Hitler monster with a machine gun, that says a lot about you interpret history.
