Life Partner (2009)

The film is about three close friends, each one having a different perspective about marriage. Govinda plays a divorce lawyer in the film who doesn't believe in marriage and is a Casanova of sorts. Khan plays a character for whom being in love matters most and D'Souza plays his love interest. Kapoor plays a Gujarati who believes in the system of arranged marriage and Desai plays his Gujarati wife.

seen 23.40 14/08/09 The first few songs were funny as you know u dont get a bollywood movie without a song and dance!!! but the plot and story was crap i expected it to be more funny as a comedy not as good as "Luck" aww "New York" and i bet it aint as good as "Kaminey" which is out now should have a crit on here about that movie soon if i get the chance to see it

This movie is a complete waste of time!! Bad acting, cheesy dialogues, poor story etc etc etc. I actually counted the times I laughed through the 2 hour timespan of the movie, and believe it or not, the count ended at 5!! Please do yourself a favour and stay home instead!!

The story is about husband wife relationship and the different constrains around them. But the good part is the script and the screen play. When you will be watching this movie and if you are already married you will be constantly trying to match yourself with one of the characters of the two couples. It hilarious, how they have carried out the whole plot of the story in stages. Genelia D'Souza has show effort and shows potential of more better work in the time to come. Prachi Desai done very well for a new comer. Fardeen is as usual good with this similar acting and nice looks. Tusshar Kapoor also did well but I am afraid audience will always expect the standard which his dad Jeetendra has set in his time which is unfair for Tuddhar but he still hasnâ??t given out his best in my opinion and he certainly needs more work in acting and physical appearance. Its a good movie and I will recommend this for good entertainment.

Not a bad movie. It showed how marriage, no matter what sort of marriage you have - love or arranged -, it can't work without compromise, acceptance and communication. The storyline was good. Performances varied. Prachi Desai was adorable and the highlight of the movie for me. Tusshar was decent. Govinda was hilarious. However, Fardeen and Genelia both overacted a lot and grated on my nerves. Overall, it's a good timepass movie. Not bad, but not great either.
