I defer to the New York Times (of all places), in its capsule review, which I carried in my wallet throughout high school: "Snow White lured into hell, and from North Carolina of all places. Stay with it, and you'll be riveted. We did, and we were.

AKA: Lemora, The Lady Dracula I watched this movie yesterday and during the rest of the movie I couldn't stop thinking about the creepy ticket guy. Ewh he really grossed me out, with what he said to her. I'm not prudish or anything but I guess it creeped me out so much was because I wasn't really expecting it. Sick! So according to imdb she was born in 1955 and this movie came out in 1973 so she would've been bout 16-17? during filming she didn't look that old to me. But also when she is being 'sponge-bathed' her towel slipped for a second and I thought they would've edited that bit or something. I missed the start, I started watching from the bit where she was packing her things and leaving the house. But the rest of the story didn't quite make sense to me like all the creatures and stuff, there was no story that I saw behind them. That guy still creeps me out.

A porn flick and a drive-in flick had a little movie which they named Lemore: A Child's Tale of the Supernatural. Sure, Lemora was a bad little 70s flick about a lezbo vampire and a young Christian virgin, but she wasn't an evil flick. Still the church didn't care, the Catholic Church hated Lemora for what she was. They called her evil and had her banned. But that only made Lemora a martyr, and eventually she was canonized into the somewhat-of-a-cult film that she is today. So in your face Vatican!

Decent adults fairy tale disguised as a kiddies one. Would have scared me shiteless if i saw this in my youth. Not saying it shit ya pance scary as an adult, but it does hold a distinct creepy gothic atmosphere throughout and next to nothing is really explained in any depth leaving the film in mystery. Worth a view but not for everyones taste.

This movie wasn't quite what I expected, but it was enjoyable. Far from being scary, this seemed more spoof than horror. I rolled my eyes and chuckled a lot, but never once sat back in fright or shock.
