I cannot imagine a romance film that is more sincere or subdued. It's like watching every good dream you've ever had unfurl on the screen.

Okay. So we have one of the best actors in Japan, one of the most talented directors working in Thailand and the world's greatest living cinematographer in one movie. We are very lucky.

this is a must see. It's one of those amazing films that makes you want to make a film. this entire film is one subtle piece of humor. from the joke on Asano's character on the Ichi poster to having Miike play the Yakuza. This is one of those films that sticks with you..

This is one of the most visually beautiful movies ever. It is so quiet and beautiful. It's about 2 people who meet under very strange circumstances who don't speak the same language. The emotions that they begin to share is amazing. You must see this.

This is my favorite movie forever. The end.
