a 1990s french film looking at a paris drug squad, gritty looking, and gets into procedures and all tat stuff, a good watch

An interesting but uneven independent about predestined love, the most fantastic french cop film, an Almodóvar film, and David Lean's slightly hollow but largely irresistable desert adventure.

A côté de ça, 36 quai des Orfevres est vraiment une grosse daube.

Great documentary style police drama from Bertrand Tavernier. It's a gritty study of a Paris drug squad where the police are just as corrupt as the criminals. There's not much of a story, just a series of events, which leads to it's only downfall, the fact that it's slightly too long, and with no actual storyline it can feel like it's dragging on at times.

Chronique de la brigade des stups parisienne. De la rigueur et du realisme (l'anti la balance). Un film choc !
