Amazing movie, amazing performances by everyone, amazing story. Whenever I watch this movie it makes me to think. A very touchy but not very commercial movie.

This movie is important in Indian movie industry because of its story line and the amount of freedom given to actors to showcase their versatility. The plot involves a deaf and mute couple falling in love and getting married. The movie reflects the problems faced by couple in a desensitized society. This story of despair and hope spans two decades ; when their son finds himself in love with a deaf girl. The standout aspect of the movie is the portrayal of a deaf & mute man by Sanjeev Kumar.
