A mysterious virus, nicknamed Medusa, is spreading around Japan, turning its victims into stone. Given the impossibility of finding an immediate cure, the government opts for cryopreserving a select group of patients until they come up with a solution. Kasumi, one of the chosen ones, has been asleep for years and her awakening, more than a bed of roses, is a bed of thorns, and happens in the midst of total chaos where monstrous creatures lie in wait all around.

this was a great movie! so much mystery and excitement :)

Like a lot of anime, this starts out very well and is wholly compelling for the first half, then it gets verrryy complicated with random dreamlike flashbacks that explain very little. I always end up feeling a bit dumb because when these films get to that point I just lose touch with the story and end up not understanding what the *bleep* just happened. So, great to a point but ultimately confusing and unsatisfying.

Gore mais bÃ (C)nÃ (C)ficiant d'une trÃ¨s bonne rÃ (C)alisation, un trÃ¨s bon film de sci-fi avec un scÃ (C)nario bien tirÃ (C) par les cheveux. Ne connaissant le manga que par le nom, je savais juste qu'il s'agissait d'un film catastrophe sur fond de monstres ... donc pas une grosse attente Ã (C)tant donnÃ (C) que l'animation japonaise en est pleins. Mais ici on passe un agrÃ (C)able moment et mÃªme le non amateur du genre que je suis Ã bien apprÃ (C)ciÃ (C) :D

A beautiful production from the Sunrise team. An anime film that everyone can enjoy, with elements similar to Resident Evil, Cube and even Evangelion. With beautiful cinematic and epic fight scenes this film is a through enjoyable watch. Very underrated. Movie goers should watch for sure.
