Kill Me Later (2001)

Her goldfish dead, her lover exposed as a rat, Shawn Holloway leaves her bank post and goes to the roof intent on suicide. Before she can leap, she's taken hostage by Charlie Anders, a fleeing bank robber. He and his partners have stolen a million in cash and plan to escape to Venezuela. Shawn agrees to cooperate if Charlie promises to kill her once he's in the clear. Parts of the plan go awry, so Charlie has time to try to pierce her bleak manner and self pity, and she has time for reflection. As night falls, their interlude ends: they're each alone, Charlie facing prison as the police close in, and Shawn staring down at a river from atop a high bridge.

This takes a while to get going, but Blair elevates the thin plot to a higher level, her performance clearly outshining Beesley's, howeer he looks so good he doesnt need to impress me. Nice little-known romp, especially for emos and depressed middle-aged washouts.

Although the film's narrative line sometimes proves hard to follow, and some of the songs heard on the soundtrack seem to have little to offer beyond sheer noise, Kill Me Later is a gem, even if a little rough around the edges.

I love this movie, when i feel like shit i watch it, always shows you that out of darkness, there can come light...also the ending kiss...love it!! Great Movie to watch!!

this movie fucking rox. if u haven't seen it, and u have a darker sense of humor, and an off beat sense of love, then u'll like it. if not, u don't know what ur missing.
