Kids Return (1996)

My favorite movie. A very realistic and sensitive story that captivates you by its honesty view about life. Masanobu Ando and Ken Kaneko are amazing as the two friends Shinji and Masaru, and so are the supporting actors in their roles. Joe Hisaishi's soundtrack is like the movie in notes, it just fits so well! Takeshi Kitano is brilliant!

Great movie. A story about two friends growing and reaching adulthood in their own ways. I feel it also shows how someone's talent can be wasted if he or she hangs out with a bad crowd. Very nice movie.

When I was 18, I came across this movie. This movie reminds me 'frustration', which we felt in our young age. If I have friends around 18 years old, I would like to recommend this movie. This movie is one of masterpieces of Takeshi Kitano's.
