I remember watching this as a teen and saying, "This is interesting." I was wrong.....so wrong.

As the music came on and an image of the first scenes started to show I didnt know what to expect... a monster, a killer, an animal?... no a kaw! this movie so lame, "fear the ravens". I have two words for this movie: "Come On!!"

The fact that Sheldon Wilson takes this movie so seriously is embarrassing... You really do feel awkward for anybody involved with this film. And Rod Taylor - what were you thinking? You were the leading man in the Hitchcock original: why would you taint your career by capping it with a role in this sorry excuse of a film? I also find it amusing that "Hitch" was able to make his birds far more frightening in 1963 without the aid of any computer technology or animation... The CIG in this film is so poor it has you asking yourself if this is a comedy or a horror film. And to think they were banking on making a political statement on the global issues revolving around mad cow disease (as so eloquently put by the producer in the special features)... Some horror films are so bad they're funny - that's what makes them watchable - and from time to time enjoyable. Don't even waste your time on this one folks.

So a flock of ravens are infected with"Mad Cow Disease" from eating some dead cows. They then start attacking people in a small town. Some how the Mad Cow Disease makes the ravens smarter then normal and and start attacking the people. Why did the dead people still have eyes? that would be the one thing the ravens would go for, and the gas station exploring would knock out the windows of the gas bar. But only, for entertainment it is ok.

First half-hour was dreadfully slow, and then it picked up a little and became moderately entertaining. It got some points for being about a flock of super-intelligent killer ravens infected with mad cow disease. No lie. The "surprise" twist at the end, however, completely killed the movie. I won't go so far as to say that my life would have been better without this movie, but it wouldn't have been worse if I had missed it.
