Its target audience will more likely watch this on DVD than in theaters...[but] only the desperate will find Kaena entertaining.

The animation isn't very good, but the design of the world, the atmosphere, the music, and the detail to the plot is something you just don't get out of the typical family trite you get from Pixar movies.

Why does noone seem to know this movie? Massively underrated anime, totally beautiful, has not aged a bit. Very innovative setting, even if the bad guys are a little Gigerish.
