A fun little animated flick, with a nice mix of fantasy and sci-fi.

Why does noone seem to know this movie? Massively underrated anime, totally beautiful, has not aged a bit. Very innovative setting, even if the bad guys are a little Gigerish.

Really nice animation. Not a great fan of anime and animated sci-fi myself, but when it gets both biological and apocalyptic in the same way, it works

The animation isn't very good, but the design of the world, the atmosphere, the music, and the detail to the plot is something you just don't get out of the typical family trite you get from Pixar movies.
