Justice League: Throne of Atlantis (2015)

After the events of Justice League: War, Ocean Master and Black Manta have declared a war against the surface in retaliation of the aftermath of Apokoliptian-tyrant Darkseid's planetary invasion. Queen Atlanna seeks out her other son, Ocean Master's half-brother Arthur Curry, a half-human with aquatic powers with no knowledge of his Atlantean heritage, to restore balance. Living with powers he doesn't understand and seeing the danger around him, Curry takes steps to embrace his destiny, joining the Justice League, and with his new teammates he battles to save Earth from total destruction.

You want an Aquaman movie? Here you go. Finally, justice to the character, pun intended. Continuing where Justice League: War left us, Throne of Atlantis portrays the origin story of Aquaman and introduces us to Atlantis. The voice acting continues to be great, the animation is spectacular and DC animation continues its hot streak.

defiantly nowhere near the best of these DC Animated films, Throne of Atlantis is still a fun little movie, even if some parts dragged and for a 75 minute movie, you don't have a lot to work with there, so I think it also could've been a bit longer to explore some of the better Elements about it.

I don't know what's wrong with this justice league. Superman hooking with wonder women still having Louis, no Martian manhunter , captain marvel has taken the job flash who mocks everyone, Arthur is weak but gains strength. Orm single handedly destroyed justice league. It's not too inspiring movie as if things go very smoothly one after another. This new justice league movie is less team effort rather than one man show Aquaman.

Despite some changes they made to fit this into their animated timeline, I thoroughly enjoyed this. The introduction of Arthur is definitely unique, but it was great to see his transformation to Aquaman over the course of the movie. Mera actually stole a lot of scenes and was really awesome too. It's exciting to see Aquaman as the focal point of a Justice League adventure, and only makes the wait to 2018 that much longer!

I thought this film was OK, but not great. It had good animation, but it's start and characterization wasn't especially sharp or engrossing. I didn't think any voice acting really stood out. There were a couple of fight scenes that were alright, but nothing that stands out strongly. Out of the DC Universe Original Animated films, I find these continuity based films, tied into New 52, aren't as poignant as the stand alone films based on older or original material.
