I think this movie was a masterpiece. Stanley Tucci and Meryl Streep were extraordinarily touching and believable. I grew up watching my grandparents watch (and adore) Julia Child. This movie brought her indomitable optimism and generosity to the fore, and showed how the urge to create great food becomes a spiritual calling.

A perfectly delightful film, and the men seem to love it too. The chemistry between both couples is wonderful to watch. The Paris scenes are stylistically beautiful as is Julia's car. A feel good film that is not all sticky, gooey (except for the food).
