John Henry is a lead-footed revenge thriller that lands with all the subtlety of the mighty steel-driving man’s sledgehammer.

This movie was awful. I feel bad for Terry, this is a flop, he deserved a better film to lead in.

This was just horrible!! Can't believe they did Terry like this. How the hell is the trailer better than ANY part of the movie? The only person with decent acting was the Dad, Ludacris was barley in the film, when he was, he didn't do enough 'scary' things to Antagonize the film, directors fault.. I hated the intro song's chorus,, they killed off everyone too quickly, talked way too much, Terry never beat up anyone, the film did a lot of senseless jumping around.... Definitely the worst film that made top 10 on Netflix... I'm sure there's worst films, only I didn't see them. I hope Ludacris and Terry got paid for this film....

Clearly qualified in the physique department, Crews is an actor with enough charisma and range to carry either gritty genre adventures or more cartoony showdowns; but Forbes' tonal uncertainty and a stiff script leave him stranded here, in a world that lacks the gravity to put his conscience-driven reticence in context.
