Jet Lag (2002)

At Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris, a beautician on her way to a new job in Mexico accidentally meets a cook who is on his way back from America. Labor strikes, bad weather, and pure luck cause the two of them to share a room overnight at the airport Hilton hotel. Will their initial mutual indifference and downright hostility turn into a one night stand or perhaps something more?

Director Daniele Thompson and her son/ co-screenwriter Christopher Thompson have trouble finding a comfortable balance between Hollywood homage and anti-Hollywood (as in French-intimate) comedy.

a clever and genuine rom-com. reno and binoche are perfect in their separate and unique roles. funny, entertaining and generally satisfying for all viewers. great dialogue.

Blah, blah, blah - your typical romantic comedy ... only in Francais. Man and woman don't get along - but somehow they love eachother. Too bad we also hate both characters for being self-indulgent jerks - or we might care enought to know that it's stupid that they fall "in love" in one night.

(Decalage Horaire) Not a romantic, but a realist. Life may be unfair, but finding a companion is the greatest gift. Almost your typical romantic comedy, but the chemistry is gets this one my list! (Originally I could not figure out why the movie was set in France, with 2 french actors who spoke English... but I just discovered that they dubbed their own rols... French/English take your pick)

A sweet romantic comedy. Two hard-headed characters spend some time together because of a French transportation strike. And there is a recipe in the closing credits.
