After a bleak childhood, Jane Eyre goes out into the world to become a governess. As she lives happily in her new position at Thornfield Hall, she meets the dark, cold, and abrupt master of the house, Edward Rochester. Jane and her employer grow close in friendship and she soon finds herself falling in love with him. i only liked it bc it was the 1st adaption i have seen of the book, even though it missed huge plot points. the only part that seemed accurate was when rochester gets mad that jane is leaving.

good film, really enjoyed it, its really sweet and romantic and genuine, pretty good acting by samantha morton. the characters are good and the story to it is really intresting.good classic charlotte bronte story.love it

not to bad it stayed fairly close to the book but i think i like the book much better

I so wanted to love this movie, because I love the novel. Alas, it is a melodramatic mess. The last 30 minutes are rushed, and the sequence with the missionary is completely unbelievable.

The acting was terrible by Ciarán Hinds but Samantha Morton pulled the movie together. She was INCREDIBLE! The whole movie I couldn't understand how she could love him; he was creepy and evil.
