1/2/2009 movie 6 of a 24 hour movie marathon I liked this more than i thought i would, but i think i may also feel defensive... the guys were dogging Glenn Close, but she really isn't ugly... i don't get it

Probably Joe Eszterhas' strongest mystery. But what really makes this film good is the wonderful, Oscar-nominated performance by Robert Loggia.

Did he or didn't he, did he or didn't he? I don't know but what I do know is that I do not care to see Glenn Close and Bill Pullman/Jeff Bridges/one of those guys getting busy again. Not my favorite, but it was ok for a late night/under the covers/lights off courtroom thriller type of night. My opinion may have been more favorable however if my computer screen hadn't kept freezing up every five seconds thereby causing my viewing experience to be a bit disjointed.

Good in 1985. Good in 2012. Stands the test of time. Suspenseful. You'll change your mind on the guilt/innocence of Jeff Bridges' character 10 times.

Oh yeah.. really enjoyed this.. especially the twist at the end!
