Jack (1996)

Born with a rare condition that makes him age four times faster than normal, ten-year-old Jack Powell looks like a forty-year-old man. After years of homeschooling, he enters public school for the first time, eager to make friends and live like any other kid—only to discover that growing up too fast means learning some of life's hardest lessons early.

I love this movie, it still holds up today and Robin Williams is gold. This is a fun movie with characters that encounter real struggles. The child actors are decent and a different movie that they would not make today.

Marjorie Baumgarten 30 Jul 1999

A listless family comedy and bland morality primer.

Todd McCarthy 16 Oct 2010

Blandness and lack of daring characterize nearly every minute of the very long two hours, which are marked by a high degree of professionalism at the service of little content.

Kenneth Turan 24 May 2007

Jack is more depressing than the weight of its demerits because of the quality of the work both these men have done before.

Jack means well and is undeniably pleasant, but it features most of the actors at there worst and it has an absurd plot and just simply tries to make you cry way too hard. I give this movie 20%.
