It seems ridiculous to leave a review for this documentary as though entertainment was the inspiration for it's creation. Selma Blair allows us into her world at it's most vulnerable state. If you go into this expecting climax and suspense, then you are looking in the wrong genre. Like most documentaries, this has it's share of slow moments which made it all the more poignant to me. Miss Blair doesn't get to fast forward and skip over the moments that may become tiring or uncomfortable nor would anyone else with a disability. Regardless of whether or not one can relate to her notoriety, she reveals herself in the most human, honest and raw form. There's an abundance of valuable takeaways to be had from this 90 minutes if you are willing.

Introducing, Selma Blair rips the Band-Aid off society’s view of chronic illness with a raw portrayal of her medical diagnosis that is authenticated in its emotional and physical intensity.

As directed by Rachel Fleit, in her documentary feature debut, the movie is an unflinching look at what it is like to live with a degenerative disease that attacks the spinal cord and brain. But it’s also a look at a woman who has a fractured relationship with her mother, was never quite comfortable with her fame and struggles with anxiety and depression.

It's an intense experience, one whose focus is undeniably stirring but which leaves certain aspects of Blair's life and resume somewhat underdeveloped.

Introducing is a remarkably moving portrait of a 40-something woman forced to reevaluate her relationships and her sense of self in the face of a chronic illness that leaves her sometimes unable to speak or control her movements.
