Tras el visionado de lo que yo calificaria como un pedazo de la historia del cine, una pregunta sobresale al instante. Como puede ser que una pelicula tan poderosa como esta, con unas interpretaciones tan desgarradoras y llenas de fuerza haya sido ninguneada de esta manera en la ultima entrega de los oscars? La respuesta es sencilla. Por mucho que alguien como Martin Luther King luchara de esa forma por los derechos civiles de la población negra, hoy en dia estamos cada vez mas lejos de aquellos momentos, de los puntos de vista qiue defendia. Y por eso una pelicula como Selma merece ser tenida en cuenta, premiada y sobretodo valorada como lo que es, una obra maestra absoluta que remueva la conciencia de todos. Mención aparte la grandiosa canción que acompaña sus titulos de credito finales(la migaja que ha cosechado en los oscars) que me haran ver a John Legend de otro modo.

This movie was one that showed just one piece of the puzzle that was Dr. King's amazing heroism, and difficult struggles from family to organizing. A well done film that will be one to last. I am at a loss for words as to how amazing this movie is, from the acting, to the cinematography, just an all out, well done film. It was gritty, unafraid to depict some of the major events that played out during the Civil Rights Movement, and showing some of the different aspects of Dr. King's life in the process.
