If there's just one takeaway, it's that Aubrey Plaza should be front and center as often as possible.

A dark comedy about how social media can affect people negatively and comments on the state of current society. What we see on Instagram, Facebook, or Snapchat may not always be real and the people who we let in our lives may not always authentic. The characters in this movie seem over the top but I've actually seen people like that, which is sad. The actors were believable, especially Aubrey Plaza and Elizabeth Olsen, in their portrayal of these characters and it really showed their range. The plot was predictable but I believe its because society can also be predictable. I definitely recommend this movie!

The most accurate and relevant commentary on contemporary social media use we have in cinematic form. Both comical and heartbreaking, Ingrid Goes West is a dark warning about narcissistic self loathing. Aubrey Plaza is transcendent and gives one of the best performances of the year.
