Occasionally drags, but offers a relentlessly stark glimpse into the morbid, tragic life of two lost souls who haven't found happiness or prosperity.

Bleek and cold movie. It tries to wake you up, seriosly. The world is cruel and tough, and many people on this earth can't do much to change their situation. This very slow paced and "quiet" movie got a lot of great features - and a few poor ones. The production is great. It creates an atmosphere that is magnificent, it actually made me feel really cold in some of the outdoor scenes. The camera work and the many still-scenes is also a feature that is important for making it so memorable. The plot it self is good and sad, and the actors perform well. Poorer aspects about this flick is that it's boring an very long. Still, this makes it very realistic and we get to know the characters well. If you're up for an slow paced, shocking, sad and honest movie that you can keep in your mind for a while this might be your best option.

A European style of "Blind Mountain", and the director focuses greatly on the gap of poor and immigrants problems. Reality is brutal: nothing is easy to be got or earned or even reasonable. Worse can't be better, while better can even get some better things. Equality seems difficult on earth. When the EU worried about the problem of immigrants import problems, the director told them that even they want to come, the society won't let them do. An Austrian may think they are the better or even "higher" people than the Ukrainians, but in fact, no Ukrainians would like to accept an Austrian to work there if the Austrian knows nothing their language or culture, so do the Austrians to other peoples. The film reminds me a great Chinese idiom: Men will be cheap when they leave their lands, while goods will become valuable when they are exported.

A sad story set in realia which is not unfamiliar to some of us. At first I thought, why bother making a movie like this? People with no prospects waiting for better times to come? So painfully true to life that you don't need a camera, just get out there and see it with your own eyes, because these things do happen on a daily basis - exactly the same images! A difficult movie, it made me drop my criticism for any artistic values as they don't matter anymore, how can they? All you can do is sit and stare... and accept the facts.

Hvor finder han de skuespillere fra og er statisterne klar over de er med i en film. Misantropisk, modbydelig, ynkelig og ydmygende, men kan klart anbefales.
