Cliche ridden romantic comedy of opposites attract set over a near 10 year period, as great changes happen to the cast of characters in their personal lives and surroundings. It's funny in places, and engaging enough for you to see it through, but is certainly not a film you will be coming back to time and time again.

A little disappointed with the movie but it wasn't to watch by any means. Besides playing out the romantic tensions between Eason's and Miriam's characters which was well done, the ending was rather a let down even if it was optimistic. Also this movie uses the "tell the history of HK" through the years at the Fortune Market, however other movies (Mr. Cinema and Golden Chicken for example) have done it much better.

Entertaining, but almost useless fluff about a bunch of wet market peddlers and their lives over a span of 10 years, mirroring the whole Hong Kong takeover thing that would probably mean a lot more to HK folks. I personally didn't feel anything or understand the context, but it's still a fun movie. But damn, Eason Chan is an ugly man.
