Hell Comes to Frogtown (1988)

'Hell' is the name of the hero of the story. He's a prisoner of the women who now run the USA after a nuclear/biological war. Results of the war are that mutants have evolved, and the human race is in danger of extinction due to infertility. Hell is given the task of helping in the rescue of a group of fertile women from the harem of the mutant leader (resembling a frog). Hell cannot escape since he has a bomb attached to his private parts which will detonate if he strays more than a few hundred yards from his guard.

Low budget cult movie which the americans churned out practically every week in the eighties. If you've seen Swamp Thing or Toxic Avenger and liked them then you need to see this....if not do something else instead.

Hell Comes To Frogtown is beyond any doubt, one of the greatest so-bad-it's-good films I've ever seen. The film is basically a mix of cheesy dystopian sci-fi mixed with a hilariously terrible porno...AND IT IS GLORIOUS. Every aspect of this low budget film is complete cheese and I adored every second of its glorious weirdness. When it comes to low budget trash, this is the kind of film that I live for because it delivers everything that I could ever want from such nonsense. The story is hokey, the acting is on the level of bad porn, the monster effects are both cheesy and neat, the music is awesome, there's shameless sexual content, funny humor, and even some action scenes thrown into this deliciously terrible film. It's a B-movie masterpiece in my opinion.

It sounds awful, the acting is dodgy at best and the plot is ludicrous. Add these 3 together and what you have "a so bad it's good" movie going on. Roddy Piper has JUST enough charisma to pull this off as the last man on earth with lead in his pencil. A really enjoyable, funny film that doesn't take itself seriously at all
